A Writ of Quo Warranto is not a lawsuit... it's much better.
It is a legal action that challenges a person's right to hold a public office or corporate position.
The term comes from Medieval Latin and means "by what authority"

Cox & Assistant Solicitor General for Utah, Erin T. Middleton with a copy of Deron's Motion for Expedited Review, and was given until Feb. 21 to respond. (Download)

The Cox team responded with their opposition and factually contradicted the evidence of the quo warranto by falsely alleging that Brunson did not move expeditiously in order that Brunson's motion for expedited review be granted. (Download)

Deron responded with his reply to their opposition clearly pointing out that Cox/Henderson did not object to the facts of the quo warranto, thereby admitting the facts of the case as a matter of law, and that their opposition wrongfully disregarded the facts of the case when they falsely alleged that Deron did not act expeditiously when he filed his motion for expedited review. The court entered on the docket "calendared for law and motion" What does it mean to be "Calendared for law and motion"? According to google: "Calendered for law and motion" means that a legal case, specifically a motion filed by one of the parties, has been scheduled to be heard by the court during a designated "law and motion" calendar, which is a specific court session dedicated to hearing pre-trial motions and arguments on legal issues rather than full trials; essentially, it means the court has set a date and time to hear the motion. It appears that the Supreme Court had decided to hear live arguments on Deron's motion for a expedited review. (See Docket Report)

Here is the letter from the Supreme Court Of The United States rejecting Deron's application under the reason that it was unclear as to what Deron was filing, and it stated that it did not satisfy the rule. Attached is a copy of the rule the Clerk of the Court cited. And claiming that it was unclear is extremely ambiguous. And it appears the Court suggested Deron should file a petition for writ of certiorari. Which no doubt would be denied. Please download.
